Our first Community Swap Day was everything we hoped for. Families coming together, sharing what they no longer need, and finding new treasures, all while keeping things out of landfills. It was a simple but powerful way to show our kids what community care and sustainability really look like.
Books, toys, household items, games—you name it, someone brought it. And just as easily, someone else found a use for it. Instead of buying new, we repurposed and shared, proving that we don’t always have to spend money to get what we need. It was all about giving, receiving, and making sure nothing went to waste.
Anything left over was donated to a local women’s shelter, extending the impact even further. This is what community is all about: supporting each other, sharing resources, and finding ways to make a difference, big or small. We’re already looking forward to the next one. Let’s keep the cycle going—swap, share, and support!
