Join us for a free field trip exploring Bexar County’s history. We’ll tour the Bexar Heritage Center and visit key sites around the courthouse, including the Founders Monument and an acequia.

A special highlight is the new exhibit on African Americans in Bexar County, showcasing their impact from Spanish exploration to the civil rights movement. Through multimedia displays and interactive panels, we’ll learn about the stories that shaped our community.

What to Expect:

✨ Learn how Bexar County’s boundaries and identity evolved✨ Discover Spain’s influence through historical record-keeping✨ See how the 1877 railroad boom shaped local economy✨ Explore 10,000 years of history through interactive Story Maps✨ Walk through the evolution of Bexar County’s courthouses, starting with Casa Reales (1700s). This is a great chance to connect, learn, and explore together.
