Our recent field trip to The Meadows Center at Spring Lake was an educational adventure! Thanks to the amazing Environmental Studies students at Texas State University, our group got hands-on learning about the unique habitat of the springs. Students examined critters from water samples, deepening their understanding of aquatic ecosystems, and capped off the day with a ride on the iconic glass-bottom boat.
During the tour, students explored how ecosystems help combat climate change and learned about the importance of environmental stewardship. They also discovered the critical role each of us plays in protecting endangered species and preserving our natural world.
Field trips like this aren’t just about learning, they’re about possibilities. From conservation to career pathways, these experiences open doors to knowledge and inspiration. We strive to make hands-on, engaging education accessible to all of our students.
