This virtual workshop is designed to empower co-op parents with practical insights to be effective educators within For the Culture (FTC) co-op, emphasizing inclusivity and the BIPOC experience.
In this workshop, you'll:
- Learn more about submitting class proposals and class plans
- Understand the philosophy and mission of FTC co-op, which values diversity and collaboration.
- Learn the qualities and skills that make co-op teachers successful.
- Explore the power of lesson planning and organization.
- Discover various teaching strategies, including active learning, group discussions, and hands-on activities.
- Embrace resources that center the BIPOC experience and align with FTC's values.
- Discuss classroom management and effective conflict resolution.
- Identify available support and resources for co-op teachers.
- Engage in Q&A, sharing experiences, challenges, and successes.
